Piracy is a major issue in the JAV industry, Japanese adult films, as they are sold online and on DVDs, it is very easy for these films to end up complete on torrent sites for anyone to download.
Maybe that’s why Fanza started an anti-piracy campaign with beautiful women called “Defeat the Pirates”.
The site has versions in Japanese, Chinese, and English and the message you receive when you enter the site is “Stop Pirating my content, join us, Defeat the Pirates”.

Saying that the illegal upload of JAV films on the internet causes damage of 5 billion yen to the industry, and that this is an act of piracy, using torrent sites is also an act of piracy and brings a loss of 3 billion.
The site has a beautiful message and at the end of it has the words: “Buy original content, become our strength, join us in this crusade”, and further down the official campaign site gives you an option to buy the films straight from the source.

By clicking on the red button that takes you to the Fanza site where you can buy legitimate products, guess what happens? Tada! The Fanza site is blocked for users outside Japan!
If you still don’t understand, I’ll explain. They created a whole campaign against piracy, officially translated it into English, explained how piracy hurts them, and in the end, they give you a link to an official online store that sells legitimate products, just for you to find out that you can’t support them because the site is blocked outside Japan!
And there used to be an online store called R18 where you could buy the new JAV releases, but they closed the store! So, there you go, there’s no way you can support them if the store is blocked!
